Turn in Road


Select first gear, Check all around (observation, especially the pavement in the direction in which you are proceeding). (Observation – check all around), Release the Handbrake. Move under control of clutch, briskly turning the steering wheel to the right. Still under the control of the clutch when halfway over the road briskly turn the steering wheel to the left and brake to stop just before reaching the kerb. Apply the handbrake and select reverse gear.

Look all around especially at the pavement behind. Release the handbrake and move under control of the clutch, briskly turning the steering wheel to the left, looking over the left shoulder. Still under the control of the clutch, when halfway over the road briskly turn the steering wheel to the right, looking over the right shoulder at the kerb stone, brake just before reaching it.

Apply handbrake and select first gear. Look right, left, right again and check pavement is clear. Release handbrake and move under the control of the clutch, briskly turning the steering wheel to the right and proceed on down the road.
